Dear Messy Churchers,
Hope you’re all OK at this difficult time. We’re missing you all – children of all ages, parents, carers, grandparents, helpers…..and hope you’re staying safe and well.
We’ve given a lot of thought as to how we can see each other safely, and sadly, for now, our usual Messy Church is off limits.
But we’ve come up with something we hope everyone can participate in. Our plan is to decorate for Christmas an area in the church garden. So we’re asking EVERYONE to make a decoration and bring it on the morning of Saturday 5th December between 10 and 12. We hope you’ll come up with some weatherproof decorations to brighten up the garden. (Hint: think plastic milk bottles, pine cones etc).
The Messy Church leaders have already been busy producing decorated fir cones, a weatherproof Christmas parcel and a Christmas tree made from a plastic food tray! And that’s just a start!
So please get busy on Christmas decorations because we need lots. In the meantime, stay safe during lockdown and if you’d like to get in touch we’d love to hear from you.
We really hope we will be able to see you and your decoration on 5th December. Social distancing will be observed but if you can’t make that day, or we are unable to meet, you are welcome to leave your decoration at the church office and we will make sure it is put up for everyone to see. Don’t forget to have a look if you’re passing by.
Love from all the Messy Church Team.
