Christian Aid Week

Christian Aid Week 10 – 14 May 2020

Love never fails. Coronavirus impacts all of us. But love unites us all.

As the whole world is focussed just now on the Covid-19 situation here is an update on Christian Aid’s response.  Under the current circumstances house to house collections cannot go ahead this year.  Instead Christian Aid is moving online with its fundraising and offering daily reflections on its website throughout the week.

Wilmslow United Reformed Church Donation to Christian Aid Week 2020.

As we can’t collect door to door this year, the Elders agreed to encourage everyone to channel our gifts to Christian Aid through church.  Every one-off donation to Wilmslow United Reformed Church received by our treasurer in May – whether cheques in the post, bank transfers to our church account or donations to Wilmslow URC’s CAF account via the church website – will be part of one Wilmslow URC donation to Christian Aid from us all.

To make an online donation via CAF – Charities Aid Foundation visit the Support Us page

If you wish to contact the church Treasurer about a donation please send an email to

Thank you, in advance, for your generosity. Please stay safe and let’s keep holding one another and our sisters and brothers around the world in prayer.

This Year’s Appeal

This year’s appeal focuses on the world’s poorest countries, where Coronavirus is putting people living in poverty at great risk. They already face a lack of water, food and healthcare. Some are homeless. Some are living with underlying health issues such as HIV. As the pandemic spreads they need our help more than ever.
